News Anchor Nancy Parker Dies in a Plane Crash

A reputable New Orleans reporter named Nancy Parker has lost her life in a tragic plane crash in Friday, 8.16.2019. Franklin Augustus, the pilot of this plane, also died with Nancy in this horrible accident. This incident was probably caused by an engine problem in the stunt plane.

53 years old Nancy was a wonderful mother of three, a wonderful wife and a very talented journalist. She worked with the WVUE FOX 8 News in New Orleans for 23 years! This is such an impressive loyalty demonstration. WVUE-DT is a television station that is affiliated with Fox and is based in Louisiana, New Orleans.

Nancy had a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Alabama. She graduated in 1998 from the College of Communication and Information Science in that university. Nancy used to share her professional experience with students of the university.

Nancy’s husband, Glynn Boyd, wrote an emotional post on Facebook. Here are some of the things he said:

“My heart is shattered. The dearest and most wonderful person in my life is gone. Our Nancy was an amazing human being.I was so proud of her; first as an awesome mother of our three children, just incredible. She loved them so much.”

He also made another heartbreaking statement:

“I would trade places with her right now. I should’ve been on that plane. She was our road map, our compass, our guiding light. I’m lost without my wife.”

We are very sorry for your loss and are praying for Nancy’s family peace and comfort. Please stay strong and live your life to the fullest. May Nancy Parker rest in peace 🙁

The Pilot Franklin Augustus

We have to remember that another person died in this plane crash – the pilot Franklin Augustus. He had literally decades of experience flying stunt planes.

Augustus trained at a private flight school while serving in the military. This is how he became an airshow pilot. 50 years ago, he actually became one of the few African Americans that were flying planes. The friends of this 69 years old man describe him as a generous and kind person that loved flying so much that he spent his time helping others to pursue a similar dream. Oh my god, what a terrible loss…

You can find much more information about Augustus and also a video showing him in this link: Pilot killed in plane crash was an experienced flier with a mission.

I was very sad to hear about your loss, Augustus. May this dear person rest and peace.
